I read ‘Cami and the Lost Letters’ with my daughter. She was so invested in Cami’s search for the lost letters, especially spotting ‘Kip’ along the way. Afterwards, she grabbed the alphabet chart and proudly sounded out her letters, using the pictures to help when she got stuck – heart-melt moment.
The illustrations by Emma Stuart are beautiful – layered with detail and depth – and the handy tips at the back make it simple for parents to keep learning fun. We also picked up the Sounds and Letters book, which Sienna now loves going through the alphabet quietly to herself. Such a gorgeous mix of story, play, and learning that actually sticks.
As a kindergarten teacher, I think Cami and the Lost Letters is the perfect text to introduce letters and sounds. Its vibrant visuals and engaging storyline take children on an exciting adventure into the world of reading sparking curiosity and making early literacy learning joyful and memorable. LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK!
Author Jenny Marshall who is a teacher and a Literacy Advocate has written this beautiful book about how it’s possible to learn how to read.
Along with the illustrations which are wonderfully drawn and the colours. Soft and easy on the eyes.
So much to take in visually and I love it. It goes very well with the narrative.
And Kip sooo cute 🐥 that I really wanted to go to the letting zoo to cuddle some little chicks.
Perfect for teachers, parents and speechies!
Definitely add to cart, perfect for my preppy Emma who is learning how to read.
My kids (3 and 5 years) just love Cami and the Lost Letters – it’s been a regularly requested book at bedtime ever since we got it! A fun and engaging way to expose kids to sounds and letters from an early age. A beautifully written story, with equally beautiful illustrations!
